A scheduled visit by Vice President Mike Pence to Bakersfield has been cancelled.
The Vice President was scheduled to be at a breakfast fundraiser hosted by Bakersfield Congressman and House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy on Friday morning.
On Wednesday, a spokeswoman with Pence's campaign confirmed that the Vice President will be surveying damage in Florida due to Hurricane Irma.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Pence was set to appear in a number of fundraisers in California this week.
