Bakersfield police held a DUI driver's license checkpoint in the downtown area overnight.
The checkpoint was on Oak Street between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m. Police say more than 1200 cars were screened by officers.
One person was arrested for driving under the influence of marijuana and 28 people were cited for driving without a license or driving on a suspended license.
