Apartment fire leaves adult, pet without home in Arvin

ARVIN, Calif. — An apartment fire in Arvin left one person and their pet displaced Sunday morning.

It happened just before 10:30 a.m. on Tucker Street in Arvin, according to the Kern County Fire Department.

Fire crews responded to reports of flames and smoke coming from a structure. Due to a threat of exposures, crews began evacuating nearby residences.

No one was injured in the fire, and the cause is currently under investigation.

Due to the adult and pet being displaced, the American Red Cross was contacted for assistance.
