BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Bakersfield Police Department arrested a man, following a ShotSpotter Activation in East Bakersfield.

Elder Garcia, 40, was arrested at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park on South Owens Street. Officers said he was found in possession of a stolen gun and was responsible for the activation.

He has been booked on negligence and stolen firearm charges.
