The results are in on the DUI checkpoint that BPD held overnight in Northwest Bakersfield.
Officers were at Hageman Road, near Riverlakes Drive Saturday between the hours of 6 p.m. and 2 a.m.
1,048 vehicles were screened by officers. Five people were detained to be further evaluated for their sobriety influence level and two drivers were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
BPD says one driver was arrested for driving under the influence of marijuana and one driver was arrested for driving under the influence of both alcohol and marijuana.
Five drivers were cited for driving while unlicensed and nine drivers were found to be driving on a suspended license.
