BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Bakersfield Police Departmenti s investigating a shooting that happened Monday night in South Bakersfield.
According to BPD, just before 9 p.m. Monday night officers were dispatched to Tommy's Liquor on South Chester Avenue near Wilson Road for multiple victims of a shooting.
When officers arrived on scene they found three victims which were both inside and outside of the store.
Officials said their injuries varied from minor to moderate. All three were transported to a local hospital for treatment and are listed in stable condition.
Officers found one vehicle in the parking lot that had been struck by a bullet.
The suspect has been described as a black man with a dark complexion, 20-30 years old, 5'11" with a slim build. He was last seen wearing a black beanie, grey shirt and black shorts.
This is the second shooting in Bakersfield that left three people injured within 24 hours. Around 1 a.m. Monday, Bakersfield Police responded to the Fastrip on 34th and Q streets for a shooting. Officials said there were three victims including one woman with minor injuries, and two men with moderate injuries.
BPD said it is searching for multiple male suspects that was possibly driving a gray Honda.
