Southern California Edison is investigating three separate outages in and around the Tehachapi area that have left almost 6,000 customers without power.

About 1,800 of the impacted customers are grouped near the intersection of Highway 58B and South Snyder Avenue in Tehachapi.

To the south, about 900 customers near Highline Road are without power for an unknown reason.

The other 3,100 customers are in an unincorporated area near Bear Valley Springs.
