Two PG&E power outages in Southwest, South Bakersfield impacting over 7,000 customers

Pacific Gas & Electric reported two power outages impacting over 7,200 customers in Southwest and South Bakersfield.

UPDATED (11/13/2019 at 4:09 p.m.): PG&E said it has restored power to most customers in the areas. There are still around 800 customers impacted. A PG&E representative said that the outages were caused by an equipment malfunction.


Pacific Gas & Electric reported two power outages impacting over 7,200 customers in Southwest and South Bakersfield.

According to PG&E's website, the outage along Rosedale Highway in Southwest Bakersfield which is currently impacting 4,136 customer happened around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. The estimated restoration time is 7:15 p.m.

The second outage that happened around 3:40 p.m. Wednesday in South Bakersfield in the area of Wible Orchard is impacting 3,070 customers, according to the website. The estimated restoration time for that outage is 5:30 p.m.

PG&E said that they have "assigned a crew to assess" the outages.
