23ABC and Valley Strong Credit Union are teaming up to bring the 2020 Ready-Set Back 2 School drive-thru backpack giveaway to Bakersfield and Taft.

• Every school-aged child (K-12th) will receive a free backpack.
• Each child will also receive a Resource Bag.
• Limit one backpack per child. Child must be present.
• Drive-Thru Distribution only. While supplies last.

The Bakersfield giveaway is happening Thursday, Aug. 9 from 9 a.m. until noon at Stramler Park and enter off Chester Avenue at 40th Street.

The Taft giveaway is happening Tuesday, Aug. 11 from 9 to 11 a.m. at Ford City Park in Taft.
