BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The annual Go Red for Women luncheon took place Friday at the Bakersfield Marriott.

The event is hosted by the American Heart Association. It is meant to raise awareness for women dealing with heart disease.

Local businesses and hospitals are part of the event's health expo to provide resources for anyone attending.

Some of the symptoms for women experiencing heart disease include jaw pain, chest pain and trouble breathing.
