BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Sunday is Greenlawn Southwest Cemetery's second year for the "Blessing of the Pets" ceremony. The blessing will take place at 10 a.m. at their new pet cemetery located within the gates.
The community is encouraged to bring along their pets for the blessing. It is a traditional part of the Fest of Saint Francis celebrated worldwide.
The event will take place at Greenlawn Southwest Cemetery located on Panama Lane.
