BPD released traffic control route for annual Black History parade

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The 2020 Annual Black American History parade is set to return Saturday and the Bakersfield Police Department is releasing their traffic control for that morning.

The parade is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. on 21st and V Streets. It ends at Central Park at Mill Creek.

Starting at 8:30 a.m. , BPD will begin closing roads along the parade routes. The following closures will take place:

  • V Street from 22nd to 19th Streets
  • 21st Street from Golden State Highway to L Street
  • 20th Street to V Street
  • R Street, Q Street, P Street, O Street, N Street and M Street from 22nd Street to 19th Street.
  • L Street from 21st Street to Service Street.
