On Tuesday, February 4th, California Pizza Kitchen will be holding a "Pizza with a Purpose" fundraiser for fallen LA County Sheriff's Detective Amber Leist.

Leist was struck and killed after helping an elderly woman cross a street in Los Angeles. The driver of the car that hit Leist pulled over and tried to help her.

Leist was a 12-year veteran of the department and leaves behind two sons, ages 17 and 20. The older of the two is serving in the Navy.

To participate in the fundraiser, guests can present the flyer below or simply mention the fundraiser to their server and California Pizza Kitchen will donate 20 percent of participating guests’ food and beverage checks to Police and Fire: The Fallen Heroes to support the family of Detective Leist. The fundraiser can be applied to dine-in, take-out, online, catering or delivery orders placed directly with CPK.

California Pizza Kitchen is located at the Shops at Riverwalk 10150 Stockdale Highway.
