A local charity is bringing some holiday cheer to kids.

The Catholic Charities of Bakersfield held their 'Christmas for Kids' event Monday.

The event gave families in need the chance to experience the holidays with hot chocolate, fun activities for kids, and a toy distribution.

More than 100 kids were set to receive some holiday gifts.

Catholic Charities is a local organization that serves families food and toys for the holidays.

The event took place at 825 Chester Avenue Monday from 10 a.m. until Noon.
