BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Kern County is well known for its big impact in the agriculture industry and this week the Kern County Fairgrounds will host the annual Farm Day in the City. The event is set for Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Students in attendance will experience exhibits ranging from livestock to farm machinery to various crops.

The event aims to bridge the farm to the table gap for children by providing educational exhibits.

Local farmers, ranchers, agricultural organizations and high school FFA students will take part in the event.
