BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Want something for the whole family to be apart of? You can get on your bike and go for a ride under the first full moon of the decade.

The Full Moon Bike Ride starts at 7 p.m. Friday evening at Beach Park. It is being sponsored by Bike Bakersfield.

The ride will follow the Kern River Parkway Trail west from Beach Park and turn South at CSUB, continue on the bike path through the campus and end at The Marketplace.

Riders are strongly recommended to wear a helmet and a front-facing head lamp.
