BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Friday is Oscar Night at The Padre Hotel!

The Housing and Opportunity Foundation of Kern is celebrating its 8th Annual Dreaming Beyond the Stars Gala event to benefit low income families in Kern County and help them gain financial independence.

The event will take place from 7 to 11 p.m. and will feature a Hollywood Oscar Night theme with Red Carpet Entry, exclusive wines and champagne, hors d'oeuvres, live performers, silent auction, raffle prizes, dancing and much more.

The terrace at The Padre will be transformed into the magical enchanted isles of Hollywood; there will be a dessert room inspired by “Pretty Woman”, and the Media Room emulating the famous Vanity Fair Ball with impersonators, photos and caricature artist.
