BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Social distancing protocols in place during the COVID-19 pandemic have made it hard to celebrate special occasions.
The family of Joshua Magaña wanted to make sure he felt special on his 16th birthday on Monday, so they got a little creative.
They organized a special birthday party parade where friends and family could come out and drive by, maintain social distance, and wish Joshua a happy birthday.
Despite the rainy weather, the turnout was good. Joshua told 23ABC that he was thankful for the birthday celebrations.
