BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Bakersfield and Kern County Fire Departments are teaming up to host a fundraiser to honor fallen Porterville Fire Department Captain Ramon Figueroa and firefighter Patrick Jones.

On Tuesday the departments will host a pancake breakfast at 7 a.m. followed by a taco lunch from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The fundraiser will take place at Fire Station 1 located off 22nd and H Streets.

The public is invited to attend. Plates with be served for $5 each and will be served in a drive thru manner.

Figuerloa and Jones died on Feb. 18 battling a library fire in Porterville. Services were held for the two on Friday.
