BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — According to an inspection report, cockroaches were discovered in Niles Star Restaurant, on Niles Street, causing it to shut down.

The inspector observed cockroaches in the facility on food contact services.

Also, it was stated the manager did not utilize correct decision-making skills in food handling safety.

The food was kept unsanitary and in unsafe conditions, also noting that on some occasions, the food was not properly or thoroughly cooked.
