BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Thanksgiving is now less than a week away and you can celebrate a little early this weekend in east Bakersfield. The 4th Annual Season of Peace event is happening Saturday in the Dollar Tree parking lot just off Niles and Oswell.

Local organizations including Bakersfield's 103.9 The Beat are joining forces to host this Thanksgiving event. The goal is to give away at least 150 turkeys to families in the neighborhood. There will be live music and various giveaways.

The event is happening Saturday from noon until 2 p.m.
