TEHACHAPI, Calif. (KERO) — The Tehachapi Police Department is thanking the community after reaching their fundraising goal for the Special Olympics. The department raised more than $1,100.

Wednesday morning the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run will take place in Tehachapi. The one-mile run will start at the police department and go through downtown.

Residents are invited to show up and cheer on athletes.
