BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — You have a chance to help feed people in need this Thanksgiving. The Mission at Kern County is asking the community to donate a turkey.

The Mission at Kern County's goal is to receive 100 turkeys to feed 600 people at its Thanksgiving Community Meal on Thursday, November 28th.

The prices range from $13.99 to $19.99 for a turkey. The Mission at Kern County is partnering with both Grocery Outlet Bargain Market locations to host this turkey drive. The store is offering a $10 off coupon for customers that purchase a 16 to 18-pound turkey for $19.99 and spend over $30.

The Mission at Kern County is also in need of canned goods for its kitchen's pantry, and ask that you drop-off those donations at 821 E. 21st Street.

The turkey drive is now until November 22nd, but the Grocery Outlet Bargain Markets will also accept donations for any last-minute shoppers.

You can help out by donating at either Grocery Outlet Bargain Markets located at 11200 Brimhall Road and 6421 Ming Avenue.
