BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — On Thanksgiving Day, volunteers at the Mission at Kern County arrived early in the morning to prepare for its annual Thanksgiving feast for those in need.
The Mission expects to feed over 600 people.
Among the many Thanksgiving fixings, volunteers at the mission prepared roughly 75 turkeys, stuffing and mashed potatoes.
In addition to the hot meal, there will also be live Jazz music and a message by Carlos Baldovinos.
The meal will be served in the Christian Education Building, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Mission at Kern County is located at 821 E. 21st Street in Old Town Kern.
