BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Today, we're celebrating Dia de los Muertos with the sights and sounds that the Mexican holiday encompasses.

Ballet Folklorico Huaztecalli teaches adults and kids the steps of traditional Mexican folk dance at the Centre Stage dance studio in Downtown Bakersfield.

To see more of Ballet Folklorico Huaztecalli, the local group will perform Friday at the 4th annual Wasco Dia de los Muertos celebration in Downtown Wasco, and Saturday at the Day of the Dead Cultural Festival and Resource Fair held at the Historic Union Cemetery.

Also, Sunday at the 11th annual El Oficial Dia de los Muertos hosted by the Kern County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

The event will be held at the Kern County Museum, located at 3801 Chester Avenue.
