KERN COUNTY, Calif. — Continue to honor America's independence at local Fourth of July celebrations across Kern County! There are celebrations planned for most of the weekend, and there are things to do for everyone in the family.

Delano Life is hosting their "Star Spangled Spectacular" fireworks at the Delano Municipal Airport on Airport Drive in Delano. The "Star Spangled Spectacular" firework show is July 5 and will start at 9:15 p.m.

Lake Isabella is hosting a "Fireworks Extravaganza and BBQ Celebration" on July 6 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Come for the food, games, vendors, water slides, face painting, pie eating contest and more. And stay for the firework show that will begin at 9:30 p.m. over Engineers Point.

Both of the firework shows are free and open to the public.
