HGTV's Extreme Makeover says local home builder will lead Bakersfield project

HGTV is casting for the 2020 reboot of 'Extreme Makeover: Home Edition'

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Back in April we told you that Extreme Makeover: Home Edition is looking to put a deserving Bakersfield family into their dream home. On Tuesday, casting directors announced the contractors that will make that happen.

According to a press release, John Balfanz Homes a local Bakersfield’s home builder has been selected to lead the build.

The company is celebrating 30 years of business and has deep roots in the community. They have built housing communities in the greater Bakersfield area such as: Berkshire Ranch, Calloway Park, Westcott and Belcourt.

In a statement, owner John Balfanz said:

“John Balfanz Homes is grateful for the incredible opportunity to participate in HGTV’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. We are honored to do our part, along with so many others, to help bring our community together for this deserving family. We are looking forward to this great adventure.”

Since 2014, Balfanz Homes says the company has partnered with St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway.
