Popstar Britney Spears announced on social media on Sunday that she's engaged.
Spears took to Instagram to show off the ring her boyfriend Sam Asghari gave her.
In the video, Asghari asks if she likes it, and Britney excitedly screams, "YES!!!"
According to the Washington Post, the four-carat diamond ring is engraved with the word "lioness," which is Asghari's nickname for the singer.
Sam also shared the news on his Instagram page.
According to the Post, many fans sent the couple congratulations, but several, including actress Octavia Spencer, spoke on Spears getting a prenup to protect herself.
Asghari responded to the concerns on his Instagram story on Monday.
"Thank you to everyone who is concerned about The prenup!," Asghari said. "Of course we’re getting [an] iron clad prenup to protect my jeep and shoe collection incase [sic] she dumps me one day."
According to People, Spears, 39, and Asghari, 27, have been dating for more than four years.
News of Spears' engagement comes days after her father, Jamie Spears, filed court documents to end her 13-year conservatorship.
