Jed Allan, star of "Beverly Hills, 90210" and several soap operas, died at the age of 84, according to the actor's fan page on Facebook.

"So sorry to post the very sad news of my fathers passing tonight," his son, Rick Brown, said in the Facebook post on March 9 . "He died peacefully and was surrounded by his family and loved so much by us and so many others."

Allan's death follows the death of Luke Perry, another star on "90210."

The 84-year-old actor also starred in a number of soap operas, including "Days of Our Lives" and "General Hospital."

He is survived by three sons.
