The highly anticipated 'Lizzie McGuire' reboot on Disney Plus has stalled as the show's creator Terri Minsky announced her departure, Variety reports.
According to Variety, Minskey left after filming two episodes. Production is now on hiatus as a new showrunner for the series has not been chosen.
Fans have a sentimental attachment to ‘Lizzie McGuire’ and high expectations for a new series,” a Disney spokesperson told Variety. After filming two episodes, we concluded that we need to move in a different creative direction and are putting a new lens on the show."
