Here are some of the latest movies to come out on home video.

Assassin's Creed

It's rare that movie adaptations of video games capture what draws players to a franchise, but that's just what director Justin Kerzel managed to do here. Rounding up impressive leads (Michael Fassbender, Marion Cotillard and Jeremy Irons), the film tells the story of a criminal who comes to work for a mysterious organization that lets people mentally time travel to relive the memories of their ancestors. Extras in the Blu-ray/DVD/digital copy set detail the creation of the stunning visuals, costumes and effects. There are also deleted scenes and a gallery of concept art.

45 Years (Crtierion)

Charlotte Rampling and Tom Courtenay play a couple who have been married for decades, but find their marriage is in jeopardy when information from the past surfaces. An exquisitely crafted Criterion Blu-ray set plays tribute to the overlooked 2015 drama, with a booklet featuring praise of the movie and production stills, a making-of documentary and a new interview with the author whose short story inspired the film.

Live by Night

Ben Affleck writes, directs and stars in this tale of a Prohibition-era mobster who rises from poverty to prominence on the mean streets he sets out to control with ruthless determination. Sienna Miller, Zoe Saldana and Chris Cooper turn in solid supporting work, but this is entirely Affleck's show, for better and worse. Too much of a focus on the main character makes the movie seem like something of a vanity project, but Affleck manages to tell a compelling story for fans of period gangster flicks. Extras in the Blu-ray/digital copy combo include featurettes on the film's slate of characters.
