Beyoncé made historyin 2018, becoming the first woman of color to headline the music festival in Indio, California. Her performance was praised for its incorporation of Historically Black Colleges and Universities marching bands and for the reunion of Destiny's Child, the girl group where Knowles-Carter rose to fame.

Fans on Twitter heralded a cameo from Beyoncé and Jay-Z's oldest child, Blue Ivy. Blue Ivy can be seen in the trailer dancing alongside her mother and other performers.
