Popular television show "Party of Five" is being rebooted on the Freeform network and will feature a family of children surviving daily life after their parents get deported to Mexico.

Four of the lead roles will be played by Brandon Larracuente (Emilio), Emily Tosta (Lucia), Niko Guardado (Beto) and Elle Paris Legaspi (Valentina).

“Party of Five” is created by Chris Keyser and Amy Lippman, who also serve as executive producers and writers for the reboot. Rodrigo Garcia also serves as executive producer and directed the pilot.

Michal Zebede serves as co-executive producer and writer.

The original "Party of Five" aired on FOX from 1994 to 2000 and starred Scott Wolff, Matthew Fox, Neve Campbell and Lacey Chabert. There were more than 140 episodes.

The new "Party of Five" has been ordered for 10 episodes. Air dates have not been announced.

“’Party of Five’ embodies the heart and soul of what it means to be a family in the most trying of times. We’re so lucky that Freeform gets to be the home for this reimagined story, as we continue to represent the resilience of young adults and the importance of fighting for your voice in times of doubt,” said Tom Ascheim, president, Freeform, in a news release. “We are thrilled to be able to share the groundbreaking storytelling from Amy and Chris with a new audience, and are excited for our viewers to discover the beauty of this series.”
