As Disney gets ready to release “Frozen 2” on digital platforms like iTunes and Amazon in Digital HD on Feb. 11, followed by 4K Ultra HD, DVD and Blu-ray versions on Feb. 25, fans of the film can look forward to some hidden gems beyond the actual movie.

As part of the extras package included in the new release, Disney included a deleted scene from “Frozen 2” that provides long-awaited answers for one of the film’s major characters. The scene was released to Insider to offer a sneak peek into the DVD’s bonus features.

WARNING: Spoilers ahead for “Frozen” and “Frozen 2.”

The original movie, released last November, is teased here on the official @disneyfrozen Instagram account.

Within the narrative of the “Frozen” franchise, Anna has wondered for years why she was kept apart from her sister Elsa. Even though they lived in the same castle in Arendelle, their parents King Agnarr and Queen Iduna separated the sisters after Elsa accidentally used her magical freezing powers on Anna while they were playing. To keep Anna safe (and Elsa’s powers secret), the king and queen decided to allow the trolls to remove Anna’s memories of Elsa’s powers and then have the sisters isolated from one another.

Anna grew up from that point not really knowing much about her solitary sister. So, when the king and queen died in the first movie, the sisters who had been strangers for years had to find a way back to one another.

Even though many questions were answered in the first “Frozen” movie and the sisters’ bond was stronger than ever, it is clear that Anna still wished she understood why her parents chose to keep Elsa’s powers a secret.

Unfortunately, audiences didn’t get to see much of that story develop because of scenes that were removed from early drafts of the second film. But, in this deleted scene, Elsa uses her newly discovered powers with water memories to give Anna a glimpse into her parents’ decision and what they planned to do when they got back from their ultimately ill-fated trip.

“Anna was struggling so much in earlier versions [of the movie] with ‘Did my parents really trust me? Why was I shut out?” said “Frozen 2” director Jennifer Lee in the video. “She still had questions she needed answers for.”

In the deleted scene called “A Place of Our Own,” Elsa gives Anna a beautiful gift of seeing a conversation between their parents. The king and queen talk about Anna and finally plan to reveal Elsa’s secret to her.

It’s a truly moving moment to see older sister Elsa give Anna the answers to questions she’s had and wrestled with for years.

This isn’t the only deleted scene making the rounds that features revelations about Elsa and Anna’s past, either. IGN revealed another deleted scene that’ll also be included the DVD, called “The Secret Room.” In it, Anna and Elsa discover a secret place in their castle where their parents have been studying Elsa’s magic.
