Local girl donates hard-earned money to charity

No act of kindness is too small to be recognized. That holds true for one local girl who's giving back to her community.
11-year-old Amalia Ray says her mom suggested that their family find some ways to pay it forward, so she saved up $50 by doing chores and other work around the house.
After doing some research, she decided to donate that hard-earned money to the Bakersfield Ronald McDonald House.
Amalia's parents matched her donation, so she was able to give a $100 check to the charity.
