BAKERSFIELD, CA. — Dewars ice cream made a special delivery today.
The local ice cream shop delivered 40 Easter baskets for the pediatric patients at Memorial Hospital's Lauren Small Children Center.
"It's so, so important to have our community involvement and just to have Dewars coming year after year is so encouraging to our staff here too and to our patients part of Easter means candy so just giving them an opportunity to be a kid, maybe a teen," said Grace Wilhelm, Child Life Specialist at Memorial Hospital.
Dewars has been working with Memorial Hospital to make this Easter delivery year after year.
