BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Deputies from across Kern County will be making their way to local businesses to enjoy a hot cup of coffee with the community they protect and serve.

The Kern County Sheriff's Office is hosting countywide Coffee with a Cop events on Tuesday at 9 a.m.

It will give the community a chance to meet deputies and ask them questions.

The events are scheduled to happen at Covenant Coffee on North Chester Avenue in Bakersfield, Idle Spur Cafe on Highway 46 in Delano, Cafe 101 in Wasco and the Countryside Market and Restaurant on East Bear Mountain Boulevard.

There will also be other events at the La Sierra Mexican Restaurant in Frazier Park, Tina's Diner on California Street in Maricopa, the Wienerschnitzel on SIerra Highway in Mojave, Kelley's Cafe on Brian Way in Tehachapi, Patty's Cafe on Desert Street in Rosamond, the Coffee Mill Cafe on Highway 155 in Lake Isabella, and the Starbucks on North China Lake Boulevard in Ridgecrest.
