BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — A CSUB faculty member can now add award-winning to his resume.
In a news release the college announced that Finance Professor, Dr. Mahdy Elhusseiny, has been selected as the 2018-19 Superior Faculty Advisor Award recipient.
School officials say Dr. Elhusseiny was recognized for his dedication, hard work, and meaningful contributions to the FMA/CSUB chapter. Every year, Dr. Elhusseiny takes a group of at least 25 students to a real-world experience in New York City. Students visit Wall Street, and also meet with high-ranking professionals tied to the New York Stock Exchange, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, and several other financial institutions. His students have described these experiences as life-changing and edifying to their career paths.
Dr. Elhusseiny was quoted saying:
"I’m a firm believer of students/teacher partnership to create an active learning environment. As a recipient of the FMA International 2018/2019 Superior faculty Advisor Award, I’m more inspired and motivated to help FMA/CSUB chapter to plan more programs, guide more chapter activities and ensure competent leadership and succession for the next year."
