Cal State Bakersfield received a major investment in its STEM programs from a long-time community partner! Chevron donating $1 million over five years to the school.

According to CSUB, the money will help with academic programs specifically in the science, technology, engineering and mathematics fields. It will also help faculty who conduct research with students.

CSUB says it is grateful for the support from chevron. CSUB President Lynnette Zelezny said those fields continue to grow at the university so this will help them out.
