BAKERSFIELD, Calif - The Kernville Union School District application for a waiver to the Kern County Department of Public Health to reopen our elementary schools has been approved.
The District received notice Tuesday afternoon that the waiver was approved.
In order to safely bring students back to school, students in transitional kindergarten, kindergarten, and 1st grade will be able to return to school first, for 1/2 days beginning Monday, October 5th.
Parents may continue distance learning if they choose.
An announcement for students in grades 2-8 will be made later this week.
