Former Kern High School District Board Trustee and Pastor of Sovereign Grace Church, Chad Vegas, will be hosting a series of debates on Christianity vs. Islam with the former Emir of Islam of Kern County, Emad Meerza.

The debate will be a series of three discussions held on the last Monday of each month, starting February 24. All three sessions will be held at Laurelglen Bible Church from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

The topics for each debate are as follows:

• February 24 - "Who is God?"
• March 30 - "What is Man and His Purpose?"
• April 24 - "How are we saved?"

"These debates are open for all. Christians, Muslims, skeptics, or anyone who might be interested in a debate like this are welcome," said Pastor Chad Vegas. "The goal of these sessions is to have a civil debate where two friends make clear the deep differences between their respective faiths."

The entire debate will be live streamed for anyone unable to attend in person. You can watch the live stream here:
