League of Women Voters of Kern County will have a new guest speaker on Thursday night. This month's featured speaker will be Louis Gill, the executive director of Bakersfield's Homeless Center.
Gill will share his perspective on current homelessness issues throughout Kern County, including unique problems faced by some homeless and challenges that our city and county officials are coping with in meeting and resolving homelessness.
Guests are invited to join for dinner for just $12, at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday night. The event will take place at the Larry E. Reider Center at 2000 K Street, Room 201. Reservations are required for the dinner. Tou can call the League Line at 634-3773.
