BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Halloween is quickly approaching and many organizations around Kern County are hosting events to celebrate the holiday. Check out the events going on around Kern County below!

Monday, October 28th

Delano Trunk or Treat
Join Assemblymember Rudy Salas for Trunk-or-Treat! Bring your children for a fun and safe Halloween event!

  • 4 p.m. - 7 p.m.
  • Cesar Chavez Park, 925 Ellington St., Delano

Shafter Trunk or Treat
Join Assemblymember Rudy Salas for Trunk-or-Treat! Bring your children for a safe and safe Halloween event!

  • 6 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
  • Shafter Youth Center, 455 E. Euclid Ave, Shafter

Oildale Trunk or Treat

  • North Chester Avenue Frontage Road north of Norris Rd.
  • 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
  • The trunk or treat will feature a live band, lots of trunks, games , candy, balloons, costume contest, food trucks and more! The event is free to the public.

Tuesday, October 29th

Wasco Trunk or Treat
Join Assemblymember Rudy Salas for Trunk-or-Treat! Bring your children for a safe and safe Halloween event!

Bakersfield Trunk or Treat
Join Assemblymember Rudy Salas, Councilmen Chris Parlier and Willie Rivera, South Bakersfield Kiwanis Club, Bakersfield Police Department and professional firefighters for the 9th Annual Trunk-or-Treat! Bring your children for a safe and safe Halloween event!

Cops & Candy Fall Festival
Join Assemblymember Rudy Salas and the Arvin Police Department for this fun and safe Halloween event.

  • 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.
  • Arvin City Hall, 200 Campus Dr., Arvin

East High School Scare Fair

  • East High School 2200 Quincy St, Bakersfield, CA 93306
  • 5 p.m. - 7 p.m.
  • Enjoy on-campus clubs and classes as they share their goulish moves. Dance, cheer and folkorico You will have chills down your spine with the haunting routines from the dance, cheer and folklorico teams. The event is free and open to the public.

Wednesday, October 30th

Safe Halloween at the Kern County Museum

  • 3801 Chester Avenue Bakersfield, CA
  • 5:00pm – 9:00pm
  • The trick-or-treating event, started in the 1980s, has become been a community favorite and major fundraiser for the Kern County Museum Foundation. Children 12 and under can trick-or-treat 50 local businesses and organizations at the elaborately decorated historic exhibits around Pioneer Village.
  • Tickets are $10 for children 4 – 13 years old, $5 for adults 14 and older, and free for children ages 4 years old and under.

The Bear Mountain Recreation & Parks District Third Annual Haunted House

  • David Head Center 10300 San Diego St. Lamont, CA
  • 5p.m.-8p.m.
  • Cost is $2 to enter and there will be a free fall harvest festival.

Trunk or Treat Celebration
Join Assemblymember Rudy Salas and Supervisor Leticia Perez for this fun and safe Halloween event.

Bakersfield Police Department's Ha-LAW-een

  • 1601 Truxtun Ave, Bakersfield, CA 93301
  • 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
  • The men and women who serve our community will open its doors and give out special treats to kids in costumes. The event is free to attend and kids under the age of 12, in costumes, will be escorted around the police building for trick or treating from various police personnel, as well as visit police vehicles in the parking lot.

Second Houchin Community Blood Bank

  • Monday through Saturday at 5901 Truxtun Ave and 11515 Bolthouse Drive
  • Donors can get free tickets to Scare Valley by saving a life with a blood, platelet or plasma donation. All donors who mention the secret password “Scare Valley” will receive one (1) free ticket redeemable any night the Haunted Attraction is open.

Olive Branch Community Church Fall Festival

  • Olive Branch Community Church 12000 Olive Dr. Bakersfield, CA 93312
  • 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.
