BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The first ever Bakersfield Fit Fest is taking place this weekend at the Kern County Fairgrounds.
The goal of the event is to bring together the health and fitness community in Kern County.
Organizers say you can shop for new fitness clothing, sample healthy foods and snacks, and learn about new products that will enhance your workout.
One of the vendors that will be at the event is Alpha Meals Co., who says there are many misconceptions when it comes to dieting and eating healthy.
They stopped by 23ABC this morning to talk about the importance of staying balanced.
Bakersfield Fit Fest will also feature a variety of live stage demonstrations from fitness instructors, gyms, dance studios and more.
Tickets are $10 each. Kids 12 and under get in for free.
