BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — How would your kids like to trick-or-treat at The Bakersfield Police Department? Well, the department will host its second annual Hal"LAW"een event at its headquarters located on Truxtun Avenue.

On Thursday, October 31from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. the men and women who serve our community will open its doors and give out special treats to kids in costumes. The event is free to attend and kids under the age of 12, in costumes, will be escorted around the police building for trick or treating from various police personnel, as well as visit police vehicles in the parking lot.

BPD said groups will be escorted every 10-15 minutes through the building.

For safety reasons, police are only allowing children to wear costumes at this event.

You can park in the City of Bakersfield’s parking garage at 18th Street and Eye Street for up to two hours for free.

For questions, please contact the BPD Community Relations Unit at (661) 326-3053.
