Toys R Us 2017 holiday toy book leaked online

Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving in the U.S. It's been considered the beginning of the Christmas shopping season since 1952. Most major retailers open very early or even the day before, offering big sales. Because of this and the excitement surrounding the "holiday," it's routinely the busiest shopping day of the year.

There are 150 pages of possible gifts in this year's Toys "R" Us holiday toy book.

The catalog was released on Black Friday watchdog website gottadeals.com, though as of Sunday, Oct. 22, it had not been released on the Toys "R" Us website.

The 2017 book shows a Top 20 list of popular toys and includes an offer of a $25 git card with the purchase of $100 or more. The retailer is also offering a price-match guarantee — if shoppers bring a printed ad from a competitor showing an item's lower price, Toys "R" Us will match the price.

The circular ad includes symbols that work with the "Play Chaser" app, which allows a person to scan when they see the symbol and "watch toys jump off these pages," the circular ad says.

Deals published in the 2017 Toys "R" Us holiday toy book begin Oct. 26 and run through Nov. 18.
