If you are looking to name your new puppy, you might get inspiration from looking up at the night sky. According to a new study, the most popular name for puppies is Luna.
Trupanion, a medical insurance company for pets, examined its database of over 500,000 pets to come up with their Top 10 most popular names, with Luna leading the way followed by Bella, Charlie, Bailey, and Lucy.
According to Trupanion, "Luna tops the puppy name chart in 2019. But that wasn’t always the case. Looking back 10 years, Luna was barely a blip on the name game chart… not even cracking the list of top 20 names. Bella (always neck and neck with the name Charlie) took a dip in 2017 & 2018, but has edged back to the #2 spot this year."
If you are thinking of getting a puppy this holiday season, remember that bringing home a pet is a life-long commitment. So, before you make the decision to bring home a puppy make sure you know what you are getting into and make sure the dog you get fits your lifestyle.
