Tesla released a new feature called "dog mode" that might be a game changer for pet owners.

Now, if you are on a road trip with your pet and need to run into a store, Tesla's "dog mode" will not only keep your dog cool while the vehicle is off, it will inform passersby that they are safe.

How does it work? Drivers will be able to select a temperature for the car to maintain when it is off. This is similar to Tesla's overheat cabin function that keeps cars from exceeding 105 degrees while off.

The car will display a message that reads, “My owner will be back soon. Don’t worry! The A/C is on and it’s (temperature of car).” In instances of extreme cold, it will also heat the vehicle.
