Legendary Mexican singer-songwriter, Juan Gabriel passed away Sunday at the age of 66. 

Mexican president Enrique Pena Nieto announced his passing this afternoon on Twitter sending out condolences to Gabriel's family and friends.

Gabriel played at the Rabobank Arena last November in front if thousands of fans.
