Tuesday, November 20

Canyon Hills:

Canyon Hills will be making Thanksgiving baskets to be delivered to families in need. They are going out from the church gym between 5 and 7 p.m. Tuesday night and will be assembled between 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m.

If you need a delivery or would like to volunteer, contact the church at (661) 871-1150.

Wednesday, November 21

Turkey Fryer Safety

The Bakersfield Fire Department will be hosting a live Turkey Fryer Safety demonstration today at 2 p.m. at the City Corporation Yard adjacent to Building A.

The demonstration is given to reduce the likelihood of burn related accidents and fire since the process is more dangerous than oven-based methods.

Mission Thanksgiving Dinner

The Mission at Kern County will be hosting a community Thanksgiving meal at 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Blessing Corner Ministries

The ministry is offering a Thanksgiving meal for those in need this year at their 101 Union Avenue location.

The meals will be served at 11:30 a.m.

Bakersfield Turkey Day Run

The Inaugural Bakersfield Turkey Day Run will be kicking off this Thursday from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. at the Park at Riverwalk. Donations support the Bakersfield Food Bank CAPK.
